A&R Role – Helix Records/Ultra Publishing

Established in 2004, Ultra publishing is one of the most successful independent publishing companies worldwide. With a catalogue of over 50,000 songs, Ultra publishes songs with Drake, Post Malone, David Guetta, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Tiesto and many more.

From the same founder, Patrick Moxey, the independent dance label Helix Records was established in April 2022, as a multi-territory independent home for the world’s best new electronic dance music.
Helix Records/Ultra Publishing hold offices and studios in New York, Los Angeles and London, with over 50 employees and affiliated operations in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Asia, and Australia.

We are looking for energetic self-starters and independent thinkers who are strong in time management and juggling responsibilities. A solid understanding of the music business, recording process, love of music & club culture and knowledge of the current landscape of the music industry is a must.

Someone who is excited, motivated, extremely passionate about music and discovering new artists, writers and producers is also a must.

The title/position will be dependent on experience, we encourage people of varying experience levels to apply.


Responsibilities
  • Discovering, sourcing and signing artists, songs, writers and producers
  • A self-motivated networker who can build relationships with artists and management, providing support where needed and being a point of contact
  • Coordinate recording sessions / develop recording schedules
  • Work as part of a team across a diverse roster of Artists, Producers & Writers on a Global basis
  • Assist in compiling, analysing and presenting music research utilising data analysis
  • Work on day-to-day A&R activities for artists and writing initiatives
  • Coordinate releases with product management and artist management

Experience
  • Label or Music Publishing experience
  • Knowledgeable of global music trends
  • A firm understanding of the current landscape of upcoming & established writers, producers and artists
  • 1 years + experience in related role
  • Experience with music data analysis
  • Organized, detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment while managing multiple priorities
