Director of Marketing, SLANG (IMP)

Influence Media seeks a New York based Director of Marketing. This role will be responsible for writing and executing marketing plans for assigned artists, manage each assigned project internally, coordinating the efforts of each department, and primary contact with artist management and teams.

This role requires comprehensive communication and coordination both internally and externally to keep projects moving forward while maintaining the overall message and brand. This person will work closely with all teams to inform strategy across the SLANG artists and help to inform strategy on the catalog side.


Responsibilities
  • Responsible for writing and executing marketing plans for assigned SLANG artists and working across the Influence catalog
  • Manage music releases, maintain campaign timelines, and oversee release logistics
  • Initiate well-thought-out plans for music releases and assist in long-term career planning for artists
  • Set up and maintain timelines of project needs and key dates/deadlines with all departments and oversee the timely delivery of those needs in partnership with various departments, including publicity, radio, and synch
  • Create weekly marketing reports and communicate updates to brief teams on all release information and ensure results are communicated efficiently
  • Participate in creative planning to create big marketing ideas and ensure a continuous flow of content surrounding each artist
  • Work closely with artists and management for campaign updates and communicate goals and plans for each release
  • Partner with artists, managers, and all departments to create, maintain, and evolve artist brands
  • Work with A&R and creative teams to gather all necessary assets to meet delivery deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with digital and commerce teams to formulate and implement digital plans, social media rollouts, and DSP campaigns
  • Manage the creation and distribution of marketing tools
  • Evaluating & selecting appropriate third party companies to partner with on certain project
  • Work in close relationship with IMP team across front line and catalog

What We’re Looking For
  • 5 years minimum experience in marketing
  • Passionate and extremely creative. You are an organized critical thinker who works well in a team environment under pressure, on short deadlines and across multiple active artist campaigns
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You’re able to prioritize multiple projects
  • You’re detailed oriented
  • Ability to pinpoint problems and identify solutions
