JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic individual driven by a strong passion for music to join MGM full time. As a core member of the digital team this role will support our global efforts to provide independent artists and their teams the tools and knowledge to sustain successful and long lasting careers.
The ideal candidate will be capable of ingesting metadata at a fast pace, have an exceptional eye for detail and enjoy working collaboratively with MGM’s global artist & repetoire team. Your mission in this role will be to validate and edit a steady volume of music metadata as it’s imported MGM’s internal content management systems and delivered to DSPs with 100% precision. This role promises long term growth potential for driven individuals that show initiative.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Contribute to planning of overarching release schedules working with colleagues and partners in global markets to execute multi territory streaming approaches.
- Expedite, process and validate album releases through MGM’s content ecosystem – from initial ingestion to product ready. Strict attention to detail required to ensure all platform guidelines are adhered to when ingesting titles.
- Verify the accuracy of artist, track and album level descriptive metadata.
- Maintain the integrity and key functions of the metadata by updating and resolving issues caused by incorrect or inconsistent metadata.
- Integrate information between spreadsheet applications and internal content management systems. > Ensure all published content meets DSP standards and guidelines.
- Oversee content mapping, match and reconcile existing content with newly received incoming content.
- Facilitate real-time troublesshooting/support on DSP metadata style guidelines as required throughout release planning and ingestion, providing accurate directives on best practices per platform.
- Manage the bulk delivery of catalogue as new DSP deals are onboarded.
- Carry out self-directed research as needed to stay across platform/technology updates.
- Network with artists and fellow industry colleagues at local gigs, conferences and events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working with product metadata (music industry preferred).
- Comprehensive understanding of global DSPs and their role in the music ecosystem such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube.
- Highly detail orientated.
- Positive attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in multi-tasking, working with multiple people and prioritizing deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and be proactive and resourceful.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365.
- Ability with Creative Cloud programs desirable.
- Ability to read, interpret and summarize analytical information from digital service platforms.
