MOLA Records is a new Independent record label and publishing company based in London. An agile and driven music team dedicated to discovering, nurturing and breaking the next wave of global talent.
We are seeking a seasoned, senior A&R manager with a proven track record of identifying, breaking and nurturing new talent at a global level. The ideal candidate will have deep industry experience, an extensive network of grassroot to top-tier producers and songwriters around the world, the ability to work across several genres and in several markets to drive the success of our artists.
This role requires a person who can be a visionary, strategist and is a hard worker. Someone who can anticipate trends, can carve out a path for our acts and be able to grow a project from the ground-up to deliver real results.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Work closely with our artists to develop and refine music that resonates with a global audience. Foster strong relationships and ensure creative synergy with other producers, writers and cultural movements.
- Talent Scouting: Identify emerging artists with global potential across diverse genres and markets. Develop and execute strategies to break them on the international stage.
- Network Utilisation: Leverage an extensive global network of industry contacts, including producers, songwriters, managers, and other key players, to create opportunities for our artists.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire A&R process, from song selection to production, ensuring the final product aligns with both the artist’s vision and commercial viability.
- Market Insights: Stay ahead of global music trends and emerging markets. Provide actionable insights to the team and adapt strategies to capitalise on new opportunities.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with marketing, digital, and sales teams to ensure cohesive rollouts and promotional strategies that maximise the impact of releases.
- Performance Tracking: Analyse the performance of signed artists, making data-driven decisions to optimise their career trajectory.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in a senior A&R role with proven success in breaking artists on a global scale.
- Network: A robust global network of producers, songwriters, and industry contacts. Ability to connect artists with the right collaborators to elevate their work.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the global music landscape, including trends, genres, and market dynamics.
- Creative Vision: A strong ear for music and the ability to recognize talent with global appeal. Passionate about discovering and developing artists.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to pitch and advocate for artists within the company and to external stakeholders.
