Title: Community & Channel Manager
Reporting to: Senior Audience Development & Partnerships Manager
What we’re looking for
[PIAS] is seeking a Community & Channel Manager in the Audience Development & Partnerships team for its [PIAS] Label Group (PLG), specifically for our Recordings team.
The successful candidate will be the primary in-house resource for managing the social channels of [PIAS] Recordings artists as well as our own brand channels for [PIAS] and its associated labels and imprints, including Play It Again Sam and [PIAS] Electronique.
What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with the Audience Development team as well as Marketing, International and A&R to execute the social media output of our artists across channels such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more.
- Responsibility for executing artists’ social media output from end-to-end, from creating social media posting schedules, writing copy for captions, through to posting content to the artist’s channels, monitoring performance and engagement, and reporting.
- Compiling internal and external reporting and analytics on top-performing content.
- Working very closely with artists and their managers to foster a sense of trust and confidence with the artist and their team.
- Helping the artist develop their tone of voice, aesthetic and brand in the digital space, educating and upskilling them on current trends and new platform features.
- Working closely with the Content Creation Manager and Audience Development & Partnerships Managers to feedback on best practice and feed into the briefing and commissioning of new content for social channels
- Attending regular meetings with the platforms themselves (TikTok, Meta, YouTube etc) to stay abreast of developments on best practice.
- Working with the Brand Communications team, working to build the social media properties of [PIAS] and it’s associated labels and imprints, as well as providing the Brand Communications team with regular insights and best-practice on top-performing content strategies from across our artists.
- Monitoring the health and hygiene of the artists’ communities online – identifying superfans, responding to fans’ questions, monitoring sentiment across key campaign moments, analysing shifts in demographics, etc.
- Spearheading our artists’ presence on direct-to-fan community platforms including Discord, Openstage, etc.
- Driving forward the growth of [PIAS]’s [SESSIONS] content series as well as providing the Brand Comms team with regular best practice and reporting for input into their strategy across the [PIAS] brand social channels including label imprints Play It Again Sam, Different, and Electronique.
What we expect
- In-depth understanding of the short-form video content ecosystem and the wider digital & social content space
- Passion for music & contemporary culture, and how the two fuse in the social space
- Deep knowledge on social media platforms, their nuances and differences, and best practice on growing artists’ audiences on socials
- Literate in a wide range of trends, subscultures, slang terminology, memes and community identifiers
- Experience of working directly with artists, comfortable with the artist community and good history of working well with artist and managers
- Competent multi-tasker able to manage a high volume of distinct campaigns and content plans simultaneously
- Excellent written communicator with extremely high attention to detail and impeccable spelling and grammar
- Self-starter able to work to deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
