Opportunity Overview

Looking for an organized, forward thinking, detail orientated, Executive Marketing Assistant to support Head of Dept. in fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is driven, self-motivated and has a passion for music and the music industry.

As an important team member in marketing at Red Light, you will support our incredible roster of artists.

Your role will encompass day to day exec assistant support to the Department Head. Marketing assistant responsibilities will include managing marketing assets, creating basic tools and attending shows.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes music and has a deep understanding of marketing in music and entertainment and thrives in this fast-paced world.


Key Responsibilities

Daily assistant responsibilities:

  • Organize meetings, manage calendar, email.
  • Monthly expenses /travel.
  • Liaison with managers/partners.

Artist marketing responsibilities:

  • Maintain up to date release schedule, playlists, marketing resources, ensuring team have easy access to latest resources.
  • Support marketing campaigns.
  • Support sync opportunities, listening to music, using DISCO.
  • Design decks, build reports, conduct research & analysis.
  • Manage marketing interns with assignments & results.
  • Coordinate /plan campaigns/events.
  • Attend RLM artists shows and events.
  • Research.

Requirements
  • 3 years as assistant in music business, (to executive or marketing dept. a plus).
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail ability to problem solve and analyze information.
  • Time management skills essential with commitment to high quality and volume output.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, diplomatic and personable.
  • Broad knowledge and passion of music and pop culture.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to non-standard working hours due to the nature of the music industry.
  • Up to date with marketing and technology trends (social media platforms, DSP’s, AI) and apply knowledge with team.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Google Docs/Spreadsheets, Dropbox.
  • Basic graphic design (mailchimp/photoshop a plus).
  • BA/BS degree preferred.

Salary for this full-time role will be $45-60,000 per year, depending on experience.
