SB3 Artist Management is an independent artist management company based in Brighton, and owned by Sumit Bothra. This is an opportunity for a highly organised management assistant/day-to-day to work with a client-list of 6 reputable, musically-diverse, and globally successful recording artists.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working within the creative arts; be a clear and articulate communicator; possess a high degree of grammatical and numerical literacy; be highly organised with strong time-management skills; an enthusiastic learner; and possess a calm, kind, and solutions-oriented personality.
It is preferable that the candidate is not already managing or assisting others. Although not essential, an understanding of the electronic music space and basic knowledge of design software would be helpful.
Primary tasks and Responsibilities
- Managing approval processes directly with Artists e.g. proposed sync and master licences, press and PR requests, interviews, collaborative creative sessions, audio/visual content creation, brand and corporate appearance enquiries, and press materials
- Scheduling and management of all approved promotional requests
- Working with Artists and their labels, distributors, and merchandise providers to assist with manufacturing, inventory management, D2C and merchandise strategy
- Ensuring the submission of set-lists to PRS, income-tracking, and examining the accuracy of song and master rights databases
- Working with publishers, labels and neighbouring rights agencies to ensure the accuracy of meta-data across PROs and DSPs
- Proof-reading press releases, biographies, and artwork
- General assistance including management commission and expenses tracking, diary management, invoicing, booking travel, and maintaining insurance policies
- Managing Artist calendars, booking travel, arranging visas, maintaining guestlists, and generating itineraries
- Assisting with company social media account

Sumit Bothra has worked in the music industry for over 25 years. While studying finance and engineering at The University of Pennsylvania he began his career promoting artists for Virgin Records of America before moving to London to work for Sony Music as a label-manager and promotions executive. He became a successful independent artist manager at 24 which led him to ATC Management (with offices in London, New York, and LA), for whom he served as a Senior Partner for 13 years before being appointed Managing Director of ATC Management (Europe). As a devoted father of three he has created a new, independent management company closer to home and continues to work with both ATC Management and ATC Live.
His work on behalf of his clients has been featured in leading trade publications including Music Week, Billboard, and Music Business Worldwide. Sumit currently sits on the board of the UK’s Music Managers Forum and the European Music Managers Alliance, and is a regular guest on industry and educational panels.
