Stones Throw Records is seeking a full-time DSP Partnerships Manager, based in our Los Angeles office. This position will work closely with the marketing team on digital streaming strategies and lead on DSP pitching.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation of experience in the streaming partnerships space, looking to take a strategic role and shape the success of our artists on streaming platforms.
It is essential that candidates have an extremely strong grasp of the DSP ecosystem, good relationships with DSP editors with excellent interpersonal skills, and familiarity with the label’s voice, ethos, fan base and our artists’ music.

Stones Throw Records is an independent record label founded in 1996 by DJ Peanut Butter Wolf with offices in Los Angeles and London. Known for a richly diverse roster, past touchstone releases include albums by Madvillain, J Dilla, Madlib, Mayer Hawthorne, Dam-Funk, and Aloe Blacc. The current roster includes artists such as Sudan Archives, Mild High Club, Knxwledge, Mndsgn, Benny Sings, NxWorries (Anderson. Paak & Knxwledge), Automatic, Jerry Paper, John Carroll Kirby, Kiefer and Los Retros.
Responsibilities
- Lead on DSP pitching strategy to drive audience and streaming growth for artists.
- Compile engaging pitches to global DSPs, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, TIDAL, Pandora & more.
- Lead on main pitching communications and day-to-day communications with our DSP partners in the US and overseas.
- Analyze and report results to the wider team, using learnings from internal reporting to help strategize current and future album campaigns.
- Manage Stones Throw catalogue on YouTube via YouTube Content Management System, including Content ID claims, channel optimization, creative ideas, etc.
- Actively contribute to marketing campaigns and strategize on all releases with an eye towards digital sales.
- Compile and analyze key data and insights across artists’ DSP, social media, and other digital presence.
- Coordinate and manage metadata and pitching information.
- Monitor, advise and coordinate DSP strategy for artists on the label.
- Assist with creation and implementation of DSP advertising campaigns.
- Ensure artist profiles are kept up to date on key DSPs such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon and more.
- Proactively monitor and stay on top of trends and initiatives in the digital marketing and digital sales space with a view to ensuring our artists are represented everywhere possible.
- Continually improve internal resources on best practices and share regularly with the wider team.
- Liaise with artists and managers on digital strategy.
- Attend gigs and relevant industry events.
Skill & Experience
- 3+ years professional experience at record label or equivalent (e.g. distributor, management company, or similar) with focus on digital marketing and streaming.
- Experience with YouTube Content Management System.
- Intimate knowledge of DSP platforms and relationships with key DSP partners.
- A can-do, collaborative attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to thrive in high-paced work environment, multi-task and prioritize.
- Knowledge of analytic tools available and ability to pull and clearly communicate insights from available data.
- Demonstrable passion for and knowledge of Stones Throw’s music – both catalogue and current roster.
- Must independently & effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Certifications such as YouTube Certification are a plus.
Education: College Degree Required
Compensation & Benefits:
$60-70k salary (dependent on experience) plus health benefits, 401K matching, PTO, paid holidays (including December 24 to January 1), and other benefits.
