Y Royalties started out as the Royalties division at Award Winning Accounts Firm, CC Young & Co, which celebrates its 27th Year in the Music Industry this year.
Having invested heavily in our data abilities, our market leading data warehouse forms the core of Y Royalties; enabling us to research trends and patterns in streaming behaviour, intrinsically investigate anomalies across all royalty collections – adding value to our clients’ revenue streams and ensuring optimal renumeration.
We are seeking a Senior Coordinator, Rights Management to join the Rights Management team.
JOB TITLE: Senior Coordinator, Rights Management

Who you are
- You will have a passion for Music with a particularly keen interest in Royalties.
- You may be already working in royalties, or a similar part of the music industry.
- You’ll show a curiosity into musical royalty collections, as well as an ability to apply your understanding of revenue streams against royalty analysis – to identify collections issues with a view to rectify your findings with the required sources.
- You will show a willingness to learn, looking for more opportunities to develop your Royalties knowledge in a fast-paced environment and an inquisitive nature towards musical reporting.
What you will do
- Managing, tracking, and reconciling incoming royalty statements;
- Handling royalty data queries;
- Maintaining and developing royalty tracking processes;
- Identifying anomalies/issues with royalty data;
- Reconciling royalty data with accounting data;
- Generating internal and external data reports using BI tools;
- Interacting and querying internal databases;
- To assist the Team with any ad hoc projects that may arise.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience at a label, publisher, rights society, or equivalent;
- Numerate;
- Excel;
- Experience working with royalty data;
- SQL and BI tool experience (preferred but not essential);
- General knowledge of Rights societies and Rights Structures.

- Ability to multi-task;
- Organised;
- Good use of time management;
- Ability to prioritise workload;
- Strong presentation skills and comfortable delivering to Management & C Suite.
