US-based sports and entertainment talent agency Wasserman has expanded the role of Lee Anderson to President of Wasserman’s music division, effective Monday (June 3).
A founding member of the music division’s executive leadership team, Anderson has played a key role in its growth since its launch in 2021. Anderson’s leadership has seen the music division triple in staff size and expand its global reach and artist services.
Wasserman Music is a global agency representing artists across all genres for live performances, touring, brand partnerships, and more. The company is part of Wasserman, a company in the sports, music, entertainment, and culture arena that has a presence across 27 countries and more than 65 cities, including New York, London, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Madrid, Mexico City, Toronto, Paris and Sydney.
“As our music business has continued to grow and expand, Lee has taken on an increasing number of leadership responsibilities and has been instrumental in shaping the foundation of Wasserman Music and charting a path for even broader global success,” said Casey Wasserman, Chairman and CEO of Wasserman.

Anderson added: “From day one, we’ve built Wasserman Music on two core principles: to be the best place to work and the best place for artists to be represented.
“I’m honored to accept this new role, but my mission remains the same: to work closely with my colleagues on our executive leadership team to ensure that we remain true to our vision and consistently deliver the best results for our clients and our global team.”

Prior to joining Wasserman, Anderson held senior positions at AM Only, which was acquired by Paradigm in 2017. Paradigm’s North American live music business merged with Wasserman to form Wasserman Music in 2021.
The following year, Wasserman Music acquired Paradigm Music UK’s live music representation business in a deal that saw UK partners Dave Hallybone, Alex Hardee, Tom Schroeder and James Whitting joining the Wasserman Music Managing Executive team.
Also in 2022, Wasserman received a strategic investment from private equity giant Providence Equity Partners. Over a month ago, Providence Equity Partners was reported to have enlisted advisers at Liontree and HSBC to gauge interest from potential buyers for European festival organizer Superstruct Entertainment, with Blackstone and CVC reportedly considering bids.Music Business Worldwide
