Marathon Music Group has launched new division called New Soil, which will specialise in UK Jazz.
Headed by former Sony Music VP of Strategy Federico Bolza, the imprint launches with three new signings: Ill Considered, Theon Cross & London based concert promoter Church of Sound.
According to the press release announcing the new label, ‘New Soil is committed to forging creative, bespoke agreements, utilising Marathon Music Group’s infrastructure to align with the culture of the contemporary jazz community in the UK’.
It adds that the division aims to provide strategy, infrastructure, amplification and monetization for artists, labels and live concert promoters looking to release their catalogs of live recordings.
New Soil joins Marathon Music Group’s group of labels and divisions, which include Marathon Artists, Marathon Labs, Moves Recordings, Mahogany Recordings and DMY Recordings.
