Hamburg’s Membran Entertainment Group has signed a deal to offer services outside North America to Los Angeles-based hip-hop label Steel Wool Entertainment.
These services will include management, record label operations, video production and marketing.
Together with The Orchard, Membran will also offer physical and digital distribution.
“We are really looking forward to working even closer together with Steel Wool,” says Manlio Celotti, Managing Director of the Membran Entertainment Group and CEO of The Orchard GmbH.

Steel Wool’s first priority release of the new year is ‘Malibu’, the second album by hip-hop/rap/nu-soul act Anderson .Paak, which was released last Friday (15th) and coincided with him picking up the Breakthrough Act gong at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards event held at Koko on Saturday (16th), an event at which .Paak and his band The Free Nationals performed.
The band return to the UK in late February for live dates as part of a European tour.
Anderson .Paak is a singer, songwriter, producer and drummer from Oxnard, California who received worldwide recognition after featuring on six tracks from Dr. Dre’s ‘Compton’ album last summer.
Aside from ‘Malibu’, 2016 will see new Steel Wool releases from Toki-Paak, a collaboration between the US EDM DJ/producer TokiMonsta (Jennifer Lee) and Anderson .Paak, plus label co-founder Watsky.
