Natalia Nastaskin, who has been General Manager of United Talent Agency since 2015, is joining the executive team at Primary Wave Music as Partner and Chief Content Officer.
Nastaskin will spearhead the development of various content for Primary Wave’s extensive roster of management acts and publishing artists including Stevie Nicks, Bob Marley, Whitney Houston, The Four Seasons, Prince, Ray Charles among many others.
Her focus will be creating content in the realms of theater, television, film, podcasts, online content and much more.
Additionally, Nastaskin will also oversee and expand upon Primary Wave’s talent management roster which includes artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Cypress Hill, Fantasia, CeeLo Green, and more.
Nastaskin entered the industry as an entertainment lawyer who launched and grew her own firm into a multi-million-dollar enterprise.
She was recruited by her then-client, The Agency Group, to be its US CEO and General Counsel in 2013, making her the sole woman heading a major talent agency at the time.
Nastaskin ran point on the sale of The Agency Group to UTA in 2015 and then went on to be an integral part in building UTA’s Global Music Group, which is the home of Post Malone, Guns N’ Roses, Deadmau5, Bad Bunny, Halsey, and many other world-renowned artists.
Nastaskin is consistently recognized as a power player in the industry and has been featured multiple times on Billboard‘s annual Women In Music and Power 100 lists, Pollstar’s Impact 50 list, and on Variety’s Women’s Impact lists.
Additionally, she led the launch of UTA’s La Femme Majeure initiative, which is a networking event for women in music focused on professional growth and progressing career trajectories.
The organization held its first global edition in 2020, which included three panelists and attracted over 400 women attendees in the music industry via Zoom.
She also spearheaded the formation of Justice Now, a social justice and racial equity task-force within UTA Music, that has a mission to strengthen our music community through education, mentorship, empowerment and fearless imagination.
