Sony Music Entertainment Turkey has hired Özden Bora as its new Managing Director, MBW has learnt.
The news was announced in an internal memo sent to Sony Music staff today (June 12) and obtained by MBW.
Özden will oversee all business activities of the Itanbul, Turkey-headquartered company, effective July 6, and will report directly to by Daniel Lieberberg, President, Continental Europe and Africa, Sony Music Entertainment.
Özden’s music industry career started in 1999. Mostly recently, she worked at prominent Turkish independent label Doğan Music Company, where she held the post of Deputy General Manager up until last month.

In an email to Sony staff, Daniel Lieberberg, said: “Özden has excellent ties to the Turkish music community having worked closely with some of the most successful artists in the market such as Tarkan, Sezen Aksu, Ajda Pekkan, Gülşen, Demet Akalın, Kenan Doğulu, Edis and Aleyna Tilki.
