Sarah Scott has been promoted to Managing Partner of LaPolt Law, P.C., a music law firm specializing in intellectual property and entertainment law.
Scott, previously SVP of Business & Legal Affairs for Universal Music Group Canada, joined LaPolt Law in 2017.
The firm, founded by Dina LaPolt in 2001, currently counts 10 full-time attorneys amongst its staff.
Sarah Scott will continue to oversee the attorneys and workflow at the firm.
She is described by the company as a “driving force behind long-term brand partnerships and multi-million dollar music asset sales”.
LaPolt Law is an all female-founded, owned and operated entertainment law firm.
The company’s roster of artists includes Cardi B, Offset, deadmau5, 21 Savage; jxdn (Jaden Hossler) and iann dior, rock figures Steven Tyler and Mick Fleetwood, and a number of influencers and female entrepreneurs.
