Sony Music Publishing UK has signed songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Jackson-Cook to a worldwide deal.
South London-born Ben Jackson-Cook recently acted as Rag’n’Bone Man’s musical director and primary collaborator, co-writing and co-producing his newest album Life By Misadventure in its entirety.
Life By Misadventure was released on May 7 and according to Sony Music Publishing UK was outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined on the UK Official Album Charts as of May 10, with approximately 30,000 units over the weekend.
Jackson-Cook’s list of musical collaborators also includes Mike Elizondo, Natalie Hemby, Allen Shamblin & Mike Reid, Wendy Melvoin, Daru Jones, Jamie Lidell, Simon Aldred, Wayne Hector, Tom Grennan, JP Cooper, and more.
Jackson-Cook began his music career at Olympic Studios before joining Disney as a musical director in Los Angeles.
He has since played for acts such as OMI, Little Mix and Ella Eyre and performed with Rag’n’Bone Man on TV with Jools Holland and his orchestra for the annual New Year’s Eve Hootenanny broadcast.
He has also appeared on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Graham Norton Show, and The Late Late Show with James Cordon.
