Based in London, The Music Publishers Association (MPA) is a not-for-profit trade association for music publishers in the UK.
The MPA acts on behalf of over 200 members ranging from major companies to independents.
The organization was founded in 1881 and is led by CEO Paul Clements, who succeeded former MPA CEO Jane Dyball in February 2019.
MPA also owns and operates two commercial businesses: the Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society (MCPS) and Printed Music Licensing Ltd (PMLL).
MCPS is the UK collection society that licenses mechanical (or reproduction) rights on behalf of over 26,000 music publisher and composer members, with an annual turnover in the region of £150m a year.
