Tuff Morgan has been promoted by global independent publisher peermusic to Vice President of A&R.
In his new role, Morgan will lead peermusic’s A&R efforts in the Pop and Urban genres for the company’s US offices. He steps up from his previous role as Senior Director of A&R, peermusic.
He will continue to be based out of peer’s Burbank offices and will report to peermusic President, Kathy Spanberger.

At peermusic, Morgan’s roster of songwriters includes Salaam Remi (Nas, Amy Winehouse, Alicia Keys, Miguel, Jasmine Sullivan), James Poyser (Anthony Hamilton, Lauren Hill, Rhianna), Volume Venture’s Larrance Dopson/ TrapMoneyBenny (Sam Smith, Justin Timberlake, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Beyonce, Drake, H.E.R, Ella Mai), Sons of Sonix (Tre Songz, Ty$, Stormzy, J-Lo, Ariana Grande),The Audibles (Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, Zac Brown), artists BJ the Chicago Kid, Linda Perry, Ayo/Teo, Miraa May, Madison Ward, and indie bands Dead Sara, Black Violin, Family of the Year, and Cigarettes After Sex, among others.

Morgan has over 15 years of music industry experience that includes work as an artist, producer, songwriter, manager, publisher, and A&R rep.
He first joined peermusic in 2014 as Director of Pop & Urban Music, though he worked with the company in a consulting capacity before coming on full-time.
He got his start in music during college when he landed a record deal with KRS-One and Capitol Records. After a Gold album and multiple major label deals, he moved to the West coast where he collaborated with producer Mike City on projects for artists including Dr. Dre, Method Man, The Game, Busta Rhymes, Melanie Fiona and Rihanna.
Morgan’s creative work segued into various development, management and A&R roles with artists including Jheryl Busby (Umbrella Records) and Brian Turner (Melee/Priority Records). Morgan subsequently secured an imprint deal with Def Jam and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and a joint venture with peermusic. He joined peermusic shortly afterwards.Music Business Worldwide
