UK-based music industry education organisation Cre8ing Vision has launched a new youth mentoring and employment initiative called The Ultimate Music Circle.
Cre8ing Vision was established in 2010 by Kwame Kwaten, founder of London-based management and services company Ferocious Talent, alongside Andrea Euell and Nicola Charles.
The new program is designed to help break down barriers and provide young people with the relevant knowledge and advice needed to get started in the music industry.
A round table of music influencers and experienced music executives will be invited to join The Ultimate Music Circle to dedicate their time to mentor young people for an agreed duration of time.
Top music industry executives giving their time to mentor young people include the likes of David Dollimore (President RCA Records UK), Eve Fairley-Chickwe (AWAL A&R / Kobalt Publishing), Joe Kentish (A&R Director Warner), Meagan Cottone (Award Winning Songwriter), Paulette Long – (Senior Board Member, UK Music) and Zeon Richards (Head of A&R, Ministry of Sound) and more.
In addition, key music organizations will offer work experience placements to add a practical element to the initiative.
The practical part of the initiative aims to provide access to on-the-job experience and insights into the day-to-day running of the industry.
Each mentee will be matched with a mentor based on their specific area of interest and work placements will be allocated through an application process via Cre8ing Vision’s vast network of young individuals.
