UK-based independent publisher, B-Unique Music Publishing, has made a raft of new signings, including singer songwriter and former The Music frontman Rob Harvey.
B-Unique was formed in 2001 by major-label A&R executives Mark Lewis and Martin Toher.f
Harvey has co-written multi-platinum hits like Head & Heart for Joel Corry and MNEK, Lonely for Joel Corry and Harlee and Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne’s Real Love, as well as records for Rudimental, Jax Jones, Tom Walker, MK, Digital Farm Animals and James Hype.
Harvey has forthcoming singles with Shane Codd, Harlee and Ella Henderson. He is also currently working with The Streets, Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian, and is also writing with Nathan Dawe, and Zara Larsson.
The company has also signed writer and producer Adam Midgley, whose credits include Dua Lipa, Little Mix, Avicci, Grace Carter, Raye and Kungs.
B-Unique has also entered into a joint publishing venture with Adam Midgley and Ashley Sykes’ 1234 Music, whose first signing is the songwriter and producer Josef Page.
Over the past 20 years, B-Unique has worked with British songwriters including James Bay, Jonny Coffer (Rag N Bone Man, Sam Smith, Naughty Boy), Corey Sanders (Calum Scott, Sigala, Chainsmokers) and Johnny McDaid – whose 28% cut on Shape Of You handed B-Unique a proportion of the biggest ever song on Spotify.
The company has been involved in sales of over 100 million albums, 20 billion streams and several No.1 singles across publishing and records.
B-Unique’s roster also includes Jon Maguire, a co-writer for Calum Scott and Kodaline who is currently at the helm of The Stickmen project, producers such as Polydor signees Punctual and Joey Maxwell, ex-Alisha’s Attic member Shelly Poole and Paul Whalley of Lost Frequencies.
