Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has promoted Tom Foster to Head of Film & TV, Europe, effective immediately.
Based in London, Foster will continue reporting to Mike McCormack, Managing Director of UMPG UK.
In his new position, Foster will oversee strategy for UMPG’s film and TV divisions across Europe.
According to UMPG, “the move reinforces the company’s commitment to strengthening alignment across territories and providing leading global services to its songwriters”.
In his previous role as UK Head of Film & TV at UMPG, Foster was responsible for securing and negotiating sync placements across a diverse roster of writers including Irving Berlin, Elton John, Agnes Obel and Tom Walker. He joined the company in March 2011.
