Artist management company Various Artists has launched a new music publishing division.
Based in London, Various Songs is a joint venture with Kobalt Music and will be led by George Shepherd, who has over a decade’s experience working with both independent and major music publishers while managing a roster of songwriters and producers.
Various Songs will be administered globally by Kobalt Music who will also oversee key areas of sync and exploitation.
Various Artists Management was founded in 2008 by David Bianchi (pictured), Nick Ember and Matt Luxon.
Its roster includes, La Roux, The Libertines, Supergrass Tom Grennan, YONAKA, Barns Courtney, Ashnikko, Spiritualized, Sad Night Dynamite, Daniel Briskin, Reverend & The Makers, Zuzu and The Hunna among others.
The company also has a specialist songwriter/producer/remixer division, which currently represents: Cenzo Townsend, , Olly Burden, Joe Rubel , Glen Roberts, Frank Colucci, Ben Jackson Cook, Quarry, Jamie Reynolds, Danny Connors, Rebel Kleff and others.
A number of signings to Various Songs have already been confirmed including Jon McClure & Ed Cosens (Reverend and The Makers/Arctic Monkeys) alongside several new, up and coming writer/producers such as Earl Saga (Loyle Carner, Litany, Lauren Sanderson).
