Los Angeles-based music licensing marketplace Songtradr has hired music-tech veteran, Virginie Berger as VP of Rights Management.
In her new role, Berger will lead Songtradr’s Rights Administration platform and manage relationships with PROs, CMOs, and other key industry leaders.
Songtradr is a global corporation with offices in Los Angeles, London, Belfast, Paris, Hamburg, Singapore, and Sydney. In her new position, Berger will be working globally with team members from offices around the world.
Berger has over 20 years of experience in leading global music and digital services through publisher and label partnership relations, rights management, digital music operations, and entertainment banking.
Prior to working with Songtradr, Berger was a founding venture partner at the early-stage capital firm DBTH Capital (Right Tech) and a mentor at The Rattle.
She was also the former CEO of Armonia Online, the first pan-European licensing hub for online music and co-founded WeAreMusicTech (WAMT).
Earlier in her career, Berger worked for Microsoft, NRJ, and Myspace when it first became established in Europe, where she joined as Marketing and Content Director.
“In the sync licensing and distribution space, Songtradr is already a gamechanger so providing an innovative, accurate and efficient solution for the collection of publishing royalties is the logical next step.”

“We’re delighted to have a true music rights thought leader collaborate with us on our journey.
“There is a staggering amount of unidentified and uncollected royalties, especially for independent artists and songwriters. In this digital age, this is neither sustainable nor acceptable.
“We are developing a solution that simplifies and speeds up collection, removing the unnecessary bureaucracy and subsequent inefficiencies.”
